Issues with Helmet Being Visible
Do Outfit Skins Disappear?

In Knives Out, there's a phenomenon where clothing disappears when you equip armor. This is due to the specification that newly equipped skins are prioritized for display, and it occurs because bulletproof vests are treated as tops and helmets as headwear skins.
May Change with a Helmet
There are exceptions to the priority display specification, and some outfit skins always remain prioritized for display even when armor is equipped. This is especially common for tops and less so for headwear, so helmets are easily prioritized for display.

What is Headwear Priority Display?

In Knives Out, there is a setting called "Headwear Priority Display" that prevents armor from being prioritized for display during combat. The Headwear Priority Display setting can only be done during combat, so be careful as it cannot be set on the home screen!
How to Set Headwear Priority Display
1 | After the match starts, open the backpack screen |

2 | Tap Appearance below your equipment |
3 | Check Headwear Priority Display on the appearance screen |
Re-equipping is also OK!
Since the priority display specification means newly equipped skins are prioritized, it's also possible to drop and re-equip your outfit from the "Appearance" section of the backpack screen. This takes an extra step, so it's not recommended.
Set Skins are Prioritized for Display
Set skins have a high probability of always being prioritized for display. Players who want to avoid the hassle of Headwear Priority Display might want to try on some of their owned skins to find one that is always prioritized.
