Recommended Practice Methods at the Firing Range
Check Weapon Recoil

You should especially check the recoil of assault rifles, which everyone will likely use from the early to late game. Recoil also changes with distance, so try shooting at walls from various distances.
Check With/Without Attachments

In Knives Out, some attachments reduce recoil, such as "Compensator" and "Tactical Stock". Among them, there are differences in whether they reduce vertical recoil or horizontal recoil. Try various combinations to find one that is easy to control.
Attachments that Reduce Recoil
Name | Performance |
---|---|
![]() | Reduces vertical and horizontal recoil when firing, improving firing accuracy. |
![]() | Reduces muzzle flash when firing and slightly reduces vertical and horizontal recoil. |
![]() | Eliminates gunshot sound and muzzle flash when firing, enhancing concealment. |
![]() | Slightly reduces vertical and horizontal recoil when firing. |
![]() | Reduces vertical recoil. |
Try Aiming at Moving Bots

In the Firing Range, there are bots that look like actual enemies, so try aiming and shooting at them. With an assault rifle or submachine gun, try to get a kill with one magazine.
Once You Get Used to It, Try to Defeat Distant Enemies

Once you can kill bots to some extent, gradually increase the distance and try aiming at distant bots. It's recommended to use burst fire (finger tapping) if the target is far away.
Hip Fire for Close-Range Combat
First, Practice Aiming at Targets from Close Range

Hip firing is a method of shooting without looking through the scope (without ADS). First, try hip firing at the targets scattered around the Firing Range from a close distance. When hip firing, it's generally good to practice with full auto.
How to Control Recoil?
Whether hip firing or ADS (aiming down sights), the gun will generally move upwards if you keep firing. It's easier to control recoil by dragging the fire button downwards while shooting.
Once You Get Used to It, Gradually Increase the Distance

Once you get used to hip firing, gradually increase the distance from the target and try test firing. Control becomes quite difficult around 15m. It's a good idea to first try to master hip firing at 15m.
Master Hip Firing by Learning to Shoot While Running!

Once you get used to hip firing while stationary, try hip firing while moving forwards, backwards, left, and right. If you can hit targets while moving, you'll be able to attack enemies while reducing your chances of being hit!
Tap Firing for Mid- to Long-Range Combat
Switch to Single Shot and Get the Hang of Tap Firing Intervals
First, switch weapons in full-auto mode to single shot and practice shooting while looking through the scope. It's good to start by shooting slowly, like "tap... tap... tap." Try to be conscious of "firing the second shot when the reticle returns to the center".
Gradually Increase the Distance

Try shooting at the heads of AI targets located far away. The farther the distance, the greater the reticle sway so make sure to fire the next shot when the reticle has properly returned.
How to Enter the Firing Range
How to Join the Firing Range

Friendly Fire Possible in Private Firing Range
From the Thursday, April 25, 2024 update, a Private Firing Range where you can play only with teammates has been added. In the Private Firing Range, you can turn on the friendly fire function in the settings, allowing for more practical training.
All Weapons are Available

All weapons are available in the Firing Range, so you can pick up your favorite weapon and practice. Ammunition does not decrease even when reloading, so if you have one magazine's worth, you can shoot as much as you want.
Weapon Selection Menu Added

Similar to offline mode, a weapon selection menu is available. You can select and equip desired weapons and attachments from the menu without having to pick up and gather dropped supplies.
