Recommended Server
The Global Server is Recommended
Generally, choosing the Global server is fine. When playing team matches with random players (not friends), it's recommended to use the Global server as you can communicate in English.
There Are Two Servers
Knives Out has two servers: the JP (Japan) server and the Global server. On the Global server, you can battle against overseas players, mainly from China.
Test Your Skills on the Japan Server
The way people fight tends to change just by being in a different country. Japanese players tend to enjoy strategic play more, so those who like tactical playstyles should try playing on the Japanese server. It's also a good place to practice your aim.
How to Select a Server
Tap the Server on the Home Screen
On the home screen, tap the server name located above 'Tap screen to continue' to go to the server selection screen. If you don't need to change servers, just tap the screen.
Select (Tap) Your Desired Server
Tap the server you want to join to switch to it. Be aware that your name and battle records will also switch at that time.
Important Notes on Server Selection
You Can Play on Both Servers
You are not limited to just one server; you can freely switch between both servers and play on either at any time. However, be aware that player information (name and battle records) will be separate. Your name and battle records are different for each server. Don't worry, they won't disappear.
Cannot Friend Players on Different Servers
In Knives Out, you cannot become friends with players on the Global server if you are on the Japan server, and vice versa. Players who play on both servers should add friends on each respective server.
Cannot Play Multiplayer Across Different Servers
Just as you cannot friend players across servers, you also cannot play multiplayer across different servers. Remember that you can only play with players on the same server.
