How to Download the PC Version
Download from the Official Website
On the official Knives Out website, select the "Download" button. From the displayed menu, select PC Version Download to start the download.
How to Install the PC Version
Launch the Installer
Launch the downloaded installer. The file name is "530051-mumu-hyxd-1.0.49-overseas-setup-vmprotect" (*as of December 28, 2022).
Check the Terms of Service
When you launch the installer, you can first check the terms of service. Be careful of misreading as it is written in Chinese. If you agree to the terms of service, select "Accept".
Start Installation
After confirming the installation location, select Start Installation. The installation will begin.
Link with Google/Facebook Account
To log in to the PC version of Knives Out, you need to link your Google or Facebook account. Select your preferred account to log in to the PC version of Knives Out.
Server Selection
Features of Each Server

If your goal is communication in Japanese or early access to smartphone version updates, "PC Server - Japan" is recommended. If you want to play the Chinese version content, "Shadow Agent Simulator" is recommended.

Is Cross-Play with Smartphones Possible?
Not Compatible with Cross-Play
The PC version is on a separate server from the smartphone version, so it is not compatible with account linking/transfer or cross-play. Unlike the Switch version, players on different devices cannot team up, so you will be playing independently in an environment with only PC version players.
Only Switch Version Supports Limited Cross-Play
Knives Out has been released for smartphones, PC, Switch, and PS4, but only the Switch version + smartphone version combination supports cross-play.

The Switch version and smartphone version can form the same team, but in that case, they will only be matched with channels where there are only Switch version + smartphone version players. It is impossible for the Switch version alone to participate in smartphone version matchmaking, so it is very limited cross-play.
How to Play Knives Out with a Controller?
Not Compatible with Controllers
All operations in the PC version are performed with a keyboard and mouse. Controllers and gamepads cannot be used. If you find the controls difficult, try reviewing your keyboard settings and gradually get used to the environment.
Troubleshooting Login Issues
Log in via Browser
Click the Log in via Browser button in the upper right to attempt logging in from your browser. If you cannot log in from the game screen due to security issues, this operation is likely to allow you to log in.
Switch Accounts
Switching login accounts may also allow you to log in. However, in this case, the game account will also be switched, so this should be a last resort when you absolutely cannot log in.
How to Uninstall the PC Version
Delete the "hyxd" file
To delete the Knives Out PC version app and information, delete the file named "hyxd" located in "Windows (C:) → Program Files (x86)".
Completely Erase by Deleting from the Recycle Bin
Even if you delete the file, it will remain in the Recycle Bin, so if you want to completely delete it, check the contents of the Recycle Bin and delete it as well.
