Understand the roles of unit types

Units have . When forming a party, it's important to create a balanced formation considering the role of each type.
Roles and Characteristics of Each Type
Type | Role/Characteristics |
---|---|
![]() | - Main attacker dealing damage - Possesses high-power weaponry |
![]() | - Has roles such as support attacks and debuffs - Possesses debuff weaponry |
![]() | - Protects allies with support defense - Possesses weaponry that reduces attack power or mobility |
Organize Compatible Pilots

By organizing characters with stats matching their main armament, the damage dealt changes significantly. For example, for units that primarily fight with "Ranged" weapons, organize characters with a high "Ranged Stat", and for units with "Melee" weapons, organize characters with a high "Melee Stat".
Significantly Boost Stats with Supporters

Characters targeted by a supporter's leader skill will have their stats significantly increased. Units targeted by a leader skill can have all their stats increased by around 20%.
Adjust Front and Rear Guard Positions

You can adjust the initial deployment on the formation screen. Adjust by placing melee-focused units and tank units in the front guard, and beam-focused ranged units and support units in the rear guard.
Be Careful of Movement Reduction on Certain Terrains

If you include units without terrain suitability, their mobility will be reduced by 50%. This can prevent them from advancing in unison or reduce what can be done in a single turn, so be careful about terrain mismatches.
Auto-Formation is Not Recommended

In G Generation Eternal, "Auto-Formation" is available, but it's not recommended as it doesn't consider the aforementioned unit and character compatibilities. It's fine as long as you can win with auto-formation, but if you start losing, try adjusting your formation manually.
Recommended Party Formations
For Farming, an Attacker-Focused Build is Recommended

When farming, use an attacker-focused formation to quickly defeat enemy units.
Utilize MAP Weapons

MAP weapons are armaments that can attack multiple enemies on the map. They allow for efficient enemy takedowns during farming, so if you have the resources, consider training units with MAP weapons as well.
Consider Type Balance for High-Difficulty Stages

When tackling high-difficulty stages, include "Support type" units to boost firepower and "Tank type" units to protect attackers, preparing for prolonged battles.
Recommended Formation Balance
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
---|---|---|
2-3 units | 1-2 units | 0-1 unit |
The recommended formation is to include 2-3 Attackers, 1-2 Support units to assist them, and 0-1 Tank unit. It's best to adjust this based on your currently trained units.
