2. Go Buy Medical Kits
You might suffer mortal wounds in the Amon fight, so buy Medical Kits. Medical Kits can be purchased from Moroboshi, located inside the manhole in Children's Park.
3. Buy Health Recovery Items
Buy items for health recovery. However, your smartphone can be stolen during the Amon fight, preventing you from using items. You can also recover health with Extracts, so buy bento boxes and such for emergencies.
Buy Tauriner and Staminan X
If you plan to use a combat strategy involving EX Boost, buy Tauriner and Staminan X. They are not too expensive, so buy up to the limit if you can afford it.
4. [Important] Set Up Shortcuts

Your smartphone can be stolen during the Amon fight, and if it is, you won't be able to use items. However, items set to shortcuts can still be used, so be sure to set them before the battle.
Basic Shortcut Operations
Operation | Procedure |
---|---|
Set Shortcut | Rightmost tab in smartphone items (Up to 3 can be set) |
Open Shortcuts During Battle | D-pad Up → Press D-pad according to the item you want to use |
Recommended Shortcut Settings
- Perpetual Healing Extract
- Wild Dance Attack Extract
- Medical Kit
It's recommended to set the Perpetual Healing Extract, which you'll want to use constantly, to D-pad Up. The Wild Dance Attack Extract is used to quickly deplete the boss's last two health bars.
5. Learn Drunken Fist / Drink Alcohol
EX Actions are effective for quickly depleting Amon's HP at the start. Learn the Drunken Fist skill and drink alcohol to get your drunkenness level to 6 or higher.
Phase-by-Phase Strategy Summary
Phase 1 | - Deplete 3 health bars quickly with EX Actions - Crane Style, with its wide attack range, is recommended - Be careful, as your smartphone can be stolen |
---|---|
Phase 2 | - Fight in Crane Style |
Phase 3 | - Fight in Tiger Style |
Phase 4 | - Need to fight in the opposite style to Phases 2 & 3 - Deplete health quickly with Wild Dance Attack Extract - Timing of style switches is crucial |
Key Points to Note
EX Actions Used Once Become Less Effective
In the Amon fight, EX Actions that have been used once will deal less damage. Normal attacks still work, so it's recommended to use EX Actions as much as possible in Phase 1, where your smartphone might be stolen.
Guard → Attack with EX Boost is the Basic Strategy
Amon deals heavy damage, so for a stable strategy, it's recommended to build EX Gauge by guarding → quickly deplete health with EX Boost from Phase 2 onwards. This is especially true for Phase 4, where depleting his health is difficult, so chip away at it steadily with this strategy.
Always Use Perpetual Healing Extract

It's recommended to always have the Perpetual Healing Extract active. You can check its status via the icon on the left of the screen.
Save the Wild Dance Attack Extract for Phase 4
The Wild Dance Attack Extract can quickly deplete the enemy's HP, so it's recommended not to use it until the last two health bars. It's harder to damage the enemy during the last two bars, so this will make the final stretch easier.
[Phase 1] Attack Patterns and Strategy
Deplete Health Quickly with EX Actions

Only in Phase 1, if you get grabbed, your smartphone will be stolen. You won't be able to use any items except those set to shortcuts, so deplete his health quickly.
Use Drunken Fist Immediately at the Start of Battle
If your drunkenness level is 6 or higher and you've unlocked the Drunken Fist skill, press △ immediately at the start of the battle to use Drunken Fist. You can deal a lot of damage right at the beginning.
If You Can't Deplete Health with EX Actions
If you can't deplete his health with EX Actions, you'll need to use normal attacks. Grab (○ button) → Shoulder Throw (○ button) is recommended as it's hard to guard or evade.
Basically Dodge with Sway

Since grab attacks can steal your smartphone, guarding won't work. Try to dodge with Sway or fight from a distance.
Be Careful Not to Touch the Walls
If you touch the walls, electricity will flow, creating an opening for attack. Try to fight in the center of the field to avoid touching the walls.
Keep Distance from Thrown Items

Items thrown by Amon will explode after a certain time. If you're nearby, you'll be incapacitated and take a barrage of attacks, so be sure to dodge and keep your distance.
[Phase 2] Attack Patterns and Strategy
Fight in Crane Style

When the field turns entirely blue, it's Phase 2. In Phase 2, only Crane Style deals damage, so fight in Crane Style.
Beware of Attacks from Behind
In Phase 2, Amon fights with sword-like weapons in both hands. If you take his attack where he swings both swords from behind, you'll suffer mortal wounds, so try not to let him get behind you.
Guard → Deplete Health Quickly with EX Boost
By using the Perpetual Healing Extract and fighting with the strategy of "build EX Gauge by guarding → quickly deplete health with EX Boost," you can clear this phase stably.
[Phase 3] Attack Patterns and Strategy
Fight in Tiger Style

When the field turns entirely red, it's Phase 3. In Phase 3, only Tiger Style deals damage, so fight in Tiger Style.
Beware of Attacks from Behind
Similar to Phase 2, beware of attacks from behind. In Phases 2 and 3, don't turn your back to the enemy and use the "build EX Gauge by guarding → quickly deplete health with EX Boost" strategy to get through them easily.
[Phase 4] Attack Patterns and Strategy
Fight in the Opposite Style to Phases 2 and 3

In Phase 4, red and blue fields will appear alternately. Unlike Phases 2 and 3, you can deal damage with Tiger Style in the blue field, and Crane Style in the red field. The amount of damage taken also increases significantly, so be careful.
Damage Dealt/Taken in Blue Field
Damage to Enemy | Damage Taken | |
---|---|---|
Tiger Style | Effective | Takes heavy damage |
Crane Style | Ineffective | Low EX Gauge recovers significantly |
Damage Dealt/Taken in Red Field
Damage to Enemy | Damage Taken | |
---|---|---|
Tiger Style | Ineffective | Low EX Gauge recovers significantly |
Crane Style | Effective | Takes heavy damage |
First, Build EX Gauge by Guarding
In the blue field, use Crane Style, and in the red field, use Tiger Style to build EX Gauge while minimizing damage taken. When the field changes, switch your style accordingly.
Beware of Ranged Attacks During Transitions

Both fields have ranged attacks, and Amon may launch a ranged attack just before the field changes. If you switch styles simultaneously with the field change and then get hit by a ranged attack, you'll take heavy damage, so be careful.
Guard or Delay Style Switching
Ranged attacks can be blocked by guarding, so if you've already switched styles, endure it by guarding.
EX Boost Simultaneously with Field Change

Once your EX Gauge is full, activate EX Boost simultaneously with the field change and deplete his health with normal attack combos. When attacking, use Tiger Style in the blue field and Crane Style in the red field.
Switch Styles Just Before the Gauge Runs Out
If you wait until the EX Gauge runs out, you might not be able to react to enemy attacks in time and could take heavy damage. Switch styles just before it runs out to go on the defensive.
Deal Massive Damage with Wild Dance Attack Extract
Use Wild Dance Attack Extract before EX Boost and press ○○○○ during EX Boost. This will unleash a rush attack, allowing you to deal massive damage.
