Character Origin & Backstory

Ridley debuted in Metroid, released in North America in 1987. Ridley appeared as the boss in the depths of Norfair. He only attacked with a bouncing fireball, but he was still a fierce foe.

There are in total, 3 ways of unlocking / adding new character to your roster in SSBU. By completing either one of these condition will unlock these Fighter to be used in Smash Mode and Classic Mode.

Double Mid Air Jumps

Ridley will be able to mid-air jump twice in air; making him viable for long comebacks

Plasma Scream - Final Smash

Plasma Scream
Ridley tackles foes, hurling them onto Samus's Gunship. He then fires a devastating plasma blast at them. This move can hit up to two opponents, and anyone hit who has 100, or more damage is instantly KO'd.

(↑ + B)
21.6%[Wing Blitz]
Charges up and rises into the air with force. The path can be adjusted with directional input.
Down Super
(↓ + B)
60.0%[Skewer]
Stabs forward with the sharp end of its tail. With the right positioning, this can be debilitating blow!
