Character Origin & Backstory

Cloud Strife made his first appearance in Final Fantasy VII for the Playstation in 1997. He is the main character and ex-SOLDIER in FFVII.

There are in total, 3 ways of unlocking / adding new character to your roster in SSBU. By completing either one of these condition will unlock these Fighter to be used in Smash Mode and Classic Mode.

Triple Hitting Side Smash Attack

This quick three-hit smash has high launching power on the last hit. The first hit isn't so powerful, so the penalty for getting countered isn't high.

Down Smash Attack to Fling Enemies behind You

Cloud attacks a foe and then sends the foe flying off behind him. Use this when close to an edge to get out of sticky situations.

Meteor Slash (Forward Air Attack)

Cloud takes a huge vertical swing at an enemy. Hitting an opponent with the tip of the sword has a meteor effect.

Omnislash
Cloud dashes forward and stikes foes. He then dashes upward and unleases a flurry of swift slashes, finishing with a powerful blow that launches downward. Use it when the battle gets heated and try to hit several enemies.

8.4%[Climhazzard]
Thrusts his sword then jumps into the air. Plunges with a high-speed cut if pressed again.

-%[Limit Charge / Finishing Touch]
Charges up the Limit Gauge. The Limit Break version launches opponents upward.
