Character Origin & Backstory

Rosalina and Luma made their debut in the 2007 title Super Mario Galaxy. Rosalina is a mysterious galactic traveler, and the Lumas her companions.

The keeper of the Comet Observatory, which floats in the middle of the galaxy. She has a mysterious backstory and travels with the Lumas until they turn into shooting stars.

3 Unlock Methods Available

There are in total, 3 ways of unlocking / adding new character to your roster in SSBU. By completing either one of these condition will unlock these Fighter to be used in Smash Mode and Classic Mode.

Controlling Luma Remotely

You can attack with Luma even when Rosalina can't move, but you won't be able to while being thrown or right after being launched.

Luma Regeneration

If Luma is KO'd, the time it takes for Luma to regenerate depends on how many opponents are in the match. It takes longer when it's 1 vs. 1, and shorter when it's a four-player battle.

Grand Star - Final Smash

MARIO Eyecatch
Grand Star
A Grand Star shoots out stars while also pulling in opponents that are hit. In the end, the Grand Star explodes. Rosalina and Luma can freely move around during the Final Smash, giving them a chance to land extra attacks.

Commands Luma to fire three Star Bits forward. Works at any range.

Flies into the air at an angle. The angle can be adjusted with left and right directional input.
Down Super
(↓ + B)
-%[Gravitational Pull]
Draws items and projectiles safely toward her. While being drawn in, they can damage foes.
