Character Origin & Backstory

Pit's debut was in Kid Icarus, released in North America in 1987. His goal was to collect the Three Sacred Treasures and defeat the evil Medusa.

The protagonist in Kid Icarus, Pit is an angel who seves Palutena, the Goddess of Light, as captain of her royal guard. He aims to defeat Medusa, the Goddess of Darkness, by retrieving the Three Sacred Treasures.

There are in total, 3 ways of unlocking / adding new character to your roster in SSBU. By completing either one of these condition will unlock these Fighter to be used in Smash Mode and Classic Mode.

PIT - Featured Video

Anti-air Double Kick with Up Tilt Attack

A two-part kick that sends an opponent into the air. It'll send them up even if they haven't taken a lot of damage, so try to follow up with another attack afterward.

Down Air Attack for Wide Meteor Attack

Pit swings his sword below him with a lot of power. If you hit the opponent when the sword is directly below him, it'll have a meteor effect.

Lightning Chariot
Pit boards the Lightning Chariot and targets opponents with a targeting reticle before charging forward and launching any opponents he hits.

Flies high through the air. The flight angle can be changed while charging.

Shields his front and back and reflects projectiles, but he's vulnerable from above.
