Character Origin & Backstory

Meta Knight debuted in Kirby's Adventure on the NES as a mysterious figure who stood in Kirby's way as a boss but also sometimes helped him.

3 Unlock Methods Available

There are in total, 3 ways of unlocking / adding new character to your roster in SSBU. By completing either one of these condition will unlock these Fighter to be used in Smash Mode and Classic Mode.

Triple Hit by Holding Side Tilt Attack

Keep pressing the button to unleash three attacks! The third strike of Meta Knight's side tilt attack is powerful enough to launch opponents.

Up Air Attack as an Air Combo Opener

Use this move to launch an opponent at an upward diagonal angle, then follow up with another of the same attack. If you then land an up special, you can launch your opponent up even further into the air.

Falling Defenseless After Using Up Super

If Meta Knight uses any of his special moves in the air, he'll fall to the ground in a defenseless state afterward. He's an adept midair fighter, but you have to be careful when using his special.

Darkness Illusion
Meta Knight raises his sword, emitting a blast of electricity. If he hits an opponent, he multiplies himself to attack and launch the opponent. If no one is hit, the move won't do anything.

12.6%[Shuttle Loop]
Flies into the air, strikes, then strikes again after a loop. Enemies hit by this move are launched upward.
Down Super
(↓ + B)
-%[Dimensional Cape]
Vanishes, teleports in any direction, and then attacks when reappearing.
