Character Origin & Backstory

Young Link debuted in the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time released in 1998. He lived in the Kokiri Forest, until the Great Deku tree, guardian of the forest, informs him of danger approaching Hyrule.

To stop Ganondorf, the Great King of Evil, Young Link travels with his fairy companion Navi. He pulls out the Master Sword, and after a seven-year slumber, emerges as the Hero of Time.

3 Unlock Methods Available

There are in total, 3 ways of unlocking / adding new character to your roster in SSBU. By completing either one of these condition will unlock these Fighter to be used in Smash Mode and Classic Mode.

Unique Down Taunt - The Lon Lon Milk!

Young link drinks the famous product of Lon Lon Ranch, Lon Lon Milk. Drinking it won't heal any damage, but it sure is delicious!

Easier to Chain Combos

Young Link's launch power is the weakest of the Links, but that makes it easier to perform combos. He's quicker in the air, can unleash moves faster, and is less vulnerable when landing.

YOUNG LINK - All Move Sets

Triforce Slash - Final Smash

Triforce Slash
Young Link dashes forward to seal an opponent in the Triforce. He then strikes them repeatedly before launching them. The initial strike must hit in order for Young Link to begin his sealing combo.

Fires an arrow. The longer the button is held, the stronger the shot.

Throws a boomerang. He can even throw it diagonally. A flick of the stick can change the power and distance.

15.6%[Spin Attack]
Spins with his blade outstretched. Can be charged if used on the ground, and it acts as a jump if used in midair.
Down Super
(↓ + B)
11.3%[Bomb]
Pulls out a throwable bomb that explodes on impact or when the fuse runs out.
