Character Origin & Backstory

Pichu debuted in Pokémon Gold and Silver, released in North America in 2000. If you leave two PIkachu or two Raichu of the opposite sex at the Daycare, Pichu can hatch from the Egg that is found.

Pichu isn't a professional at charging electicity like Pikachu. The slightest touch can make Pichu discharge its electricity and shock itself.

3 Unlock Methods Available

There are in total, 3 ways of unlocking / adding new character to your roster in SSBU. By completing either one of these condition will unlock these Fighter to be used in Smash Mode and Classic Mode.

Electric Attack Back Fires

Any move when Pichu is engulfed in electricity will deal damage to Pichu. However, Pichu's moves also have significant power and are great for launching opponents.

Volt Tackle - Final Smash

Volt Tackle
Pichu turns into a ball of electricity that darts around at high speed. If an opponent gets caught in this attack, they'll be constantly hit. Pichu also takes damage from this attack.

Moves at high speed! The direction can be changed once, and it travels a bit farther than Pikachu's.

16.8%[Thunder]
Calls down thunder from above to hurt nearby opponents. However, Pichu also takes a small amount of damage.
