What are Passive Skills?
Provides Additional Buffs & Abilities

Passive Skills provide additional buffs and abilities to Pokemon during battle. Each Sync Pair has their own Passive Skill that can range from additional healing to higher critical damage.

What makes Passive Skills unique is that they do not need to be activated to be in use. They'll automatically be applied once their conditions are met within a battle.

How strong the buff of a Passive Skill is depends on its level. The higher its level is, the more effective it will be.
How to Unlock Passive Skills
Learn Passive Skills after Chapter 8

You'll get the option to learn Passive Skills after completing Story Chapter 8. Before that point, Passive Skills be locked out though you can view them in your Sync Pair profiles.
Unlock Skills in Move / Skill Menu

View a Sync Pair's Passive Skill and required materials to unlock it from the Move / Skill Menu. It can be accessed through the Team tab or at the Cafe in the lobby.
Requires Training Machines, Other Items

Unlocking Passive Skills will require a number of materials, including Training Machines, Tonics, and Skill Capsules. You can get these as mission rewards or you can purchase them from the shop.
