Pokemon Masters Roles

An Indication Of What A Sync Pair Is Good At

Every Sync Pair will have a battle role assigned to them. Roles are a good indicator of each Pair's characteristics, and what fields they excel at. Change your team composition according to what the enemy brings to the table.

3 Roles Exists In-Game

There are currently 3 roles in game: Strike, Support & Tech. Each has their own strength & weaknesses that require careful planning for the team to function, so be sure to develop Sync Pairs from all 3 roles evenly.

Striker Characteristics And Tips

A Role That Excels At Dealing Damage

StrengthHas high offensive stats, and big damage dealing moves.
WeaknessLower Hp, defense stats and is thus more vulnerable compared with other roles.

Make The Striker The Main Focus Of Your Team

Your Striker is the main firepower of your team. However, they aren't as durable as other roles. How much damage your Striker can actually dish out will be the key deciding factor in a battle. Make Striker the key component of your team, and have other roles back him up accordingly.

Support Characteristics And Tips

A Role Good At Buffing Allies

StrengthCan buff ally stats, heal, or remove debuffs.
Has good survivability due to high HP.
WeaknessStruggles at dealing high damage.
Solo performance may be lacking compared with others.

Use Support Moves Early In Battle

Support roles are good at buffing allies or healing. To get the most out of their buffs, use their moves early in the battle.

Tech Characteristics And Tips

Pokemon Masters Roles - Tech

Interfere With The Enemy Using Debuffs & Restrictions

StrengthGood at disrupting enemy tactics with weakening & restricting moves and abilities.
WeaknessCan potentially be useless if the enemy is immune or resistant to its debuffs.

A Role That Depends Heavily On The Enemy Composition

Techs excels at weakening & restricting enemy units. When used properly, they can shut down the enemy long enough for your Striker to do the job. However, their effectiveness varies greatly with enemy's resistances, so always confirm the enemy team members before bringing in a Tech.
