The developers mentioned in their live stream that the new NieR Replicant is not simply remake or remaster version, but it is an "upgraded" version of the original. There will be new contents included such as new music composed just for this version.

The version number 1.22474487139… is the square root of 1.5. Perhaps it's symbolizing that this this new NieR Replicant is in between 1 and 2 and it is not quite new title but not just the remake of the original NieR Replicant.
