Co-Op Quest For Multiplayer
Monster Hunter Stories 2 allows up to four players to play online multiplayer. If you want to connect to the Internet to play online or cooperate with players far away, you need to subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online (paid subscription).

By linking your Monster Hunter Rise (available on March 26) save data with Monster Hunter Stories, you can acquire the layered armor "Kamura Garb".

Our Epic Tale Begins With The Mass Disappearance Of Rathalos From Around The World
It is the night of the festival held at Mahana Village in the center of Hakolo Island. Rathalos from all over the world disappear.
The protagonist is the grandson of Red, the Guardian Ratha Rider who is known as the god of the island. While gaining experience as a new rider, he meets Ena, a Wyverian Girl who knows Red, and leaves the island to protect the Rathalos egg that Guardian Ratha entrusted to Ena.
While investigating the strange phenomena occurring in various places, the egg finally hatches. The result is a Rathalos with small wings, unable to fly.
When its wings open, the world will cease to exist. The encounter with the legendary Rathalos changes the fate of the protagonist.
