Playing As Pain Elemental
NOTE: This section was based off the multiplayer demo at PAX East. This will be updated as soon as more information is confirmed.
Summon Souls To Fire For Damage
When playing as a Pain Elemental, you can summon 6 Lost Souls to hover around you and be used as ammunition. Throw them at the Slayer for higher damage, but making it hitting it will require skills.
Can Fire All Skulls For Burst Damage
The summoned Lost Souls can be lobbed one at a time or all at once. Try firing all at once when the slayer's movement is restricted like when going up stairs.
Harass & Report Player Position From Air
When playing as Pain Elemental, it is important to use your flying characteristics to report the position of the slayer to your team, while harassing it with ranged attacks. Don't be overly aggressive as to draw attention before your teammates get into position.
Don't Play Too Aggressively
Pain Elemental is a big target but lacks the HP & damage like the other Monsters. Its main goal is to harass and recon so play a bit defensively and be prepared to run away when focused on.
