Mission 1: Hell On Earth - Walkthrough
Hell On Earth Walkthrough Flow Chart
No. | Procedure |
---|---|
1 | Eliminate the zombies in the room to open the door. Glory kill the zombie in the next room |
2 | Turn left and descend the stairs. Take the Chainsaw and complete the tutorial to advance |
3 | Continue forward and punch the green seal. Perform a double jump to climb up on it |
4 | Access the Modbot to get a weapon mod for your Combat Shotgun |
5 | Proceed to the next room and eliminate or ignore the zombies. Punch the door to advance and kill all enemies |
6 | Go to Deag Nilox's Chamber for a cutscene then head to the ruined building for another Modbot |
7 | Continue forward and drop down. Follow the armor shards to your right and use the yellow bar to swing yourself to the other side |
8 | Eliminate all enemies to open a gate forward. Climb up and get the Heavy Cannon and interact with the AutoMap |
9 | Open the door to continue. Drop down to street level and eliminate all enemies to open the barrier |
10 | Use the ramp and wall climb to get the Yellow Keycard. Go back to the previous area to open the shutters |
11 | Enter the subway station. Time your movements to evade the fireball traps |
12 | Access another Modbot for your Heavy Cannon and enter the train to pick up the Frag Grenade. Use the bar and double jump to cross the gap |
13 | Purge all demons in the area to open the door. Push forward and eliminate all enemies in the large hall to open the barrier |
14 | Drop down and kill all demons to open a portal. Enter it and use the lift at the center to end the mission |
1, 4. Start With The Combat Shotgun
Your First Boomstick

You start DOOM Eternal's story campaign with the Combat Shotgun, a weapon that deals tremendous damage when used in close-range. Use it when fighting against hardier foes in this mission.

Sticky Bombs stick to their targets and causes a delayed explosion, making it very useful when fighting crowds of enemies. This becomes very handy when hitting the weak spots of Arachnotrons and Cacodemons. It is recommended you get it as your first weapon mod using the Modbot.

Your Main Means of Acquiring Ammo

Get used to chopping enemies in half! The Chainsaw will be your trusty sidekick from start to the end of the game. Enemies killed by the Chainsaw will drop loads of ammo. Be sure to use this often, you will be running low on ammo otherwise!

Prioritize Larger Targets

During battles, prioritize the heavy enemies first such as Arachnotrons and Cacodemons, and take care of the Imps and Zombies later. Take note of weaknesses and change your tactics on the fly to breeze through them.

Zombies are non-essential enemies. Meaning that most of the times, they are not needed to be killed in order to advance. Treat them as moving resource caches and use either Glory Kill or Chainsaw to spawn the resources that you need during the fight.

The Heavy Cannon is a fully automatic weapon that can be used to whittle down enemy numbers from afar. Using its mods, you can accurately damage enemy weak points making it easier to deal with them.

Keycards are items that are needed to open color-coded doors. In this mission, you need to find a yellow keycard to open the subway's shutter doors. Use a combination of double jumps and wall climbs to get it!
12. Frag Grenade Acquired

Your first Equipment Launcher attachment, the Frag Grenade is a useful means of getting extra firepower on the field. These timer fused bombs are great when clearing fodders or anticipating an enemy attack.
