What is Slayer Gate & Slayer Key?
Special Challenge Portal To Get Empyrean Key
Slayer Gate are special challenge portals found in the map that you fight multiple waves of enemies. Beating the Slayer challenge rewards Weapon Points an an Empyrean Key. The Slayer Portal challenge is optional and not tied to the main quest.

To open a Slayer Gate, you must first have a Slayer Key for that gate. Slayer Keys are Slayer Gate exclusive meaning the keys are not universal and will only open 1 specific Gate.
Resources Spent Will Not Come Back
All your resources spent in the Slayer Challenge like health & ammo will not be recovered after you completed the challenge. Leave the challenge alone for now if you can't beat the main quest with ease.
Beat All 6 Slayer Gates To Get Unmaykr Weapon
All 6 Empyrean Keysmust be retrieved in order to unlock the Unmaykr weapon at the Fortress Of Doom. This means that you need to beat all 6 Slayer Gate challenge to unlock this powerful weapon.

Found Near The Slayer Gate
Corresponding Slayer Keys are found near the Slayer Gate it can open. Check the surrounding areas near a Slayer Gate, paying close attention to easy-to-ignore places for them.
Look For The Gate First Before the Key
As the Slayer Gate is a much bigger target than the key, look for the Slayer Gate on the map before going out to look for the key.
