How To Get The Chatterbox SMG

Craft Using Specific Exotic Materials

The Chatterbox SMG can be crafted at the crafting bench, but requires very specific parts to complete.

Parts Required

How To Get SMG: Loaded Canister

This exotic component is looted from a Hyena chest in one of the bathrooms in the Grand Washington Hotel mission. Hyena chests require Hyena Keys to be opened, which are found in underground tunnels.

Progress The Mission Until Area With Piano

When you reach a staircase with a piano beside it, the next area will have the Hyena chest containing the part.

Clear The Hallway Of Enemies & Head Towards Lounge

Head upstairs and clear the hallway of enemies first. After doing so, head towards the lounge and look for for a hole in the wall.

Turn Right Towards The Bathroom

Past the hole in the wall, there's a bathroom to the right which should contain the Hyena chest. Open it to get the SMG: Loaded Canister part.

How To Get SMG: Creative Magazine

This is found in one of the open world Hyena chests in a building just south of the Theater Settlement.

Head Towards Building South Of Theater Settlement

The chest containing this part is inside a building just a few ways south of the Theater Settlement. Enter through the south side until you reach an open area.

Climb The Ladder

Look for a ladder you can climb up on to reach the floor where the chest is located.

Turn Left Past The Bin

Make a left just past the large bin and the Hyena chest containing the part should be at the end.

How To Get SMG: Modified Mods

This part is found inside a chest in an underground parking garage in the Police Headquarters in Judiciary Square, just a bit northwest of the DZ East Entrance. Playing the side mission "Police Headquarters" will also give you access to this place.

Progress The Mission Until Inspection of Riot Gear

Progress the side mission enough until you reach the chest containing the Riot Gear. Right next to it is the Hyena chest containing the SMG: Modified Mods part.

How To Get The Lost Chatterbox Blueprint

The blueprint is found inside the Bank Headquarters mission vault, behind a locked door. You'll need to find a hidden key in the level in order to unlock the door.

Defeat Rebound And Interact With Hidden Panel

Beat the miniboss "Rebound" in the Bank Headquarters mission and head to the office area past him. Interact with the panel to acquire the RFID Keycard.

Progress The Mission Until You Reach The Vault

Open the vault and look for a door to the left and use the RFID Keycard to open it. Inside this room will be the Hyena chest containing the Chatterbox blueprint.

Polycarbonate, Titanium and Receiver Components

Various crafting materials are also needed to craft the Chatterbox SMG. The amount of materials needed depend on the gear score to be crafted. There are plenty of these materials at the Solar Farm control point, or in Underground tunnels.

Chatterbox SMG Talents

Incessant Chatter

Every shot landed grants 1% rate of fire to a max of 60%. This resets on reload.

Box Magazine

Kills with this weapon refill 20% of its magazine and grants a buff for 20s. While the buff is active, every shot landed increases magazine capacity by 1 to a max of 60. Killing a target consumes the buff to fully refill the increased magazine.

Blabbermouth

While holstered, reloading your weapon within 5s after a kill grants 20% rate of fire for 10s.
