Inscription Changes Summary
Inscription Changes In Item Drops
More Relevant Inscriptions In Loot Drops
In the upcoming Feb 28 / March 1 update, Pilots will be able to get better inscriptions for the items that are dropped in the game. These inscriptions will be more relevant to the item it appears on.
Changes Only Apply To New Items, Not Those In Vault
The new inscriptions will be made available to items that are dropped after the update is applied. Current items in your Vault will not get updated to reflect the inscription changes.
Gear Icon Inscription Is Item-Specific
Inscriptions with a Gear Icon attached to it means that it will only apply to that specific item it is on. Otherwise, the inscription will have effects over the whole Javelin.
Level 30 Drop Table Fixes
Common & Uncommon Items Won't Drop For Lv. 30+ Pilots
After the update, Pilots who are at least Level 30 will not see any more Uncommon (white) and Common (green) item drops in their playthroughs. This makes farming equipment more intuitive and efficient for end-game players.Check Out How To Farm Rare Equipment!
Masterwork Crafting Materials Reduced
The amount of Masterwork Embers needed to craft a masterwork has been reduced to 15 from 25. This will allow players to craft more high level gear. With the inscriptions changes, it'll also be more efficient to get better equipment for your Javelins.Check Out How To Farm Ember!
Additional Inscription Changes
Implementation of Inscription Pools
Moving forward, Anthem will be implementing inscription pools. This means that there will be a specific set of inscriptions per item type, making it narrower and slightly easier to get the inscription that you want for specific equipment.
Primary Inscriptions Will Focus On Damage & Survivability
Primary inscriptions per item will now focus on increasing your damage or survivability in the game. This can mean an increase in attack or defense stats or effects.
Secondary Inscriptions Focuses On Utility
Secondary Inscriptions in Anthem will feature bonus effects for utility. These can be item-specific (only affects the item the inscription is on) or can affect the performance of the whole Javelin.
