What Are Armored & Shielded Enemies?
Enemies With Resistance To Damage
Armored and shielded enemies are opponents that resist certain types of damage depending on what they have equipped. You will need to think ahead when facing an enemy with armors or shields since it may take some time to bring them down!
Armored Enemies Take Less Damage Than Normal
These Enemies can soak up massive amounts of damage due to their armor. If you are going against armored enemies with just normal weapons, and no strategy, you need to get ready for a long fight!
Armored Enemies Have Yellow HP Bar
You will be able to identify armored enemies when their HP Bar is displayed as yellow. This will help you single them out against groups of enemies, and focus on using Fire and Acid attacks to deal with them.
Shielded Enemies Block Certain Effects
A shield acts as a second HP bar and provides a buffer to enemies. This means that before you can deal any major damage, prime enemies, or get critical hits, you will need to deplete their shield.
Shielded Enemies Have Blue HP Bar
Enemies with shields can easily be identified by blue bars on top of their HP bars. They also usually have a spherical aura surrounding them.
You Cannot Prime Enemies With Shields
Enemies with shields cannot be primed unless their shields are depleted. However enemies who were primed while their shields were down can still be detonated when they regenerate their shield!
Shields Regenerate Over Time
When enemies with depleted shields are not damaged for a certain time, their shields will regenerate back up to full. Therefore, make sure to follow through with your attacks against shielded enemies to avoid wasting ammo.
