Protection Duty Mission Tips & Tricks

4. Rescuing Freelancers - Tips

No Need To Combat Enemies

No Need To Combat Enemies

When rescuing the Freelancers from the Scar, your top priority is to free the restrained Freelancers. You can opt to ignore the Scars while completing this objective.

5. Defeating The Scar Enforcer - Tips

Hit The Enforcer's Backside For Maximum Damage

Hit The Enforcer

Scar Enforcers are shielded at their front side, making frontal assaults useless. Instead, try to get behind them and unload your firepower there for maximum damage. Be careful! Getting too close can put you in range for their flamethrowers.

6, 10, 14. Eliminating Scar Troops - Tips

Break Scar Scouts' Line Of Sight

Focus Fire On Scout

Scouts are long range enemies that can deal a significant amount of damage when their shots connect. They telegraph this by targeting you with a laser, which gives you enough time to find cover to hide behind before they can shoot.

Time Your Dodges Against The Seeker Mines

Time Your Dodges Against The Seeker Mines

Scar Destroyers send out Seeker Mines to actively hunt you. These mines will glow red, then explode when they are in range. When you notice a red glow in your area, dodge away from the glow to avoid getting hit!

8. Destroying The Turrets - Tips

Shoot At The Turrets From Cover

Shoot At The Turrets From Cover

The turrets will be found next to each other. It is recommended to find cover that blocks both of the turret's line of sight in order for you to safely dispatch both of them one-by-one.

9. Eliminating The Outlaws - Tips

Prioritize The Outlaw Elementalist

Prioritize The Outlaw Elementalist

The Outlaw Elementalist will be equipped with a Storm Javelin of their own, letting them fly around, and harass you with different elemental attacks and debuffs. Deplete their shield to stun them, and leave them open to your attacks.

13. Destroying The Stockpiles - Tips

You Cannot Fly When Carrying Explosives

You Cannot Fly When Carrying Explosives

You will not be able to fly when carrying explosives. Plant the explosives first in order to regain your ability to fly, and stay agile against the horde of Scars about to descend on you.

Stay Inside The Explosive's Area To Arm

Stay Inside The Explosive

After planting the explosives, you will need to stay in its area for it to fully arm. Going outside will not only halt the process, but will also regress the arming process.
