Return to the Heart of Rage Mission Tips & Tricks
2. Start the Mission - Tips
Starting the Mission Locks You Out of Fort Tarsis
Ensure that you're more than prepared for this mission before starting it as it will lock you out of travelling anywhere else until you complete it. Do all that you have to do in Fort Tarsis before proceeding with it.
4. & 6. Defeat the Dominion Forces - Tips
Prioritize Destroying the Dominion Turrets
With its long range and continuous fire, the Dominion Turrets can become a hindrance if left alone for too long. Head straight to them and destroy them before dealing with the other enemies.
5. Defeat the Ash Titan - Tips
Shoot Glowing Areas for Additional Damage
The Ash Titan's weak points shift to where they are casting their attack, surrounding it with a yellow glow. Focus on these areas to deal the most of damage with every shot.
Dash Away to Dodge Fireballs
Bait the fireballs to miss by staying in one place then suddenly dashing away right before contact. This will cause the fireball to hit the ground instead of you!
Hide Behind Cover to Escape Chest Laser
Once the Attack Titan's chest opens, it's time to get behind cover because its the wind up to his Chest Laser! The attack can easily melt through your shields and health if you stay too long in it!
7. Disable the Dominion Grounder - Tips
Use Dominion Grounder as Cover
The Grounder works as a great cover when having to deal with the Dominion Forces trying to stop you from disabling it. Move behind the grounder and peek out from its side to shoot down enemies.
9. Clear Dominion Forces & Collect Echoes - Tips
Collect Echoes Before Clearing Enemies
You can freely choose which objective to do first, but its recommended start by collecting the echoes. The enemies will call for backup when you thin them out, even calling forth Valkyries and Brutes to fight you.
Deal with Valkyries as Soon as They Appear
With their long-range attacks, the Valkyries will continuously cause havoc as you try to deal with the other enemies in the area. Take them down as quickly as possible so you can clear the enemies in peace.
10. Defeat the Dominion Furies - Tips
Focus on Orbs' Weak Spot for Higher Damage
The Furies will engulf themself in black orbs that can tank away damage unless hit in its weak spot. Focus fire on the red areas to damage it and the Fury inside.
Face Furies at Long-Range
The Furies' are mainly melee-based attacker so it's good to stay as far away from them as you can. They can teleport, but you can quickly escape them by flying to the other side as soon as they appear.
13 - 15. Defeat the Monitor - Tips
Battle with Monitor has 3 Phases
As the final boss, the Monitor will not go down in a single fight. Lowering his health to certain points will cause him to disappear into another location. He will also stop taking damage after reaching those health points.
Monitor will Change Elements with Every Phase
The Monitor will start with fire, then acid, then for this final phase, lightning. He will be immune to whichever element he is taking on and his attacks shift with each new element.
Weak Point Shifts to Where Monitor Casts His Attacks
The Monitor's weak points shift to where he casts his attacks, similar to that of Titans. Shoot these glowing areas for additional damage. His eyes are also weak points that you can focus on when he's not attacking yet.
13. Battle the Monitor (1st Phase) - Tips
Shoot Red Asteroids to Detonate Them
The red asteroids that the Monitor embeds on the ground will eventually explode, dealing burning damage to anything near it. You can prevent this by shooting and detonating them early.
14. Battle the Monitors (2nd Phase) - Tips
Dash to the Side to Escape Acid Ball Attacks
Dodging is essential for this phase as both the Monitor and his mooks have acid ball attacks that can hit even from quite a distance. Dash to your side or hide behind cover to escape the acid attack.
Clear the Mordant Elementals Immediately
The Monitor will call forth Mordant Elementals that will come after you during the fight. They have an acid ball attack that becomes hard to deal with the more mooks there are so take down as soon as you can.
15. Battle Monitor (3rd Phase) - Tips
Find Cover to Escape Homing Lightning Balls
One of the Monitor's attacks in the final phase are Homing Lightning Balls that will follow you until it comes in contact with anything. Get behind the large rocks in the area to escape them.
Fly Up to Escape Electric Ground Attack
When the Monitor raises his weapon and slams it on the ground, better fly up because that will cause a ring of lightning to spread from around that weapon. Jumping to escape it also works as long as you time it right.
